Frequently Asked Questions
About Our Courses:
Will I automatically receive my certificate?
No. Courses are often paid for by businesses, family and friends as
gifts. To ensure the certificates are mailed to the right person and
address, each student must verify the proper spelling of their name
and address upon completion to the instructor. Then, certificates
will be mailed.
When will I be notified about my course start
date?
Start dates are included on each invoice. Orientation via email will
take place the Sunday before the start of each course.
What if I don't get notification?
To ensure notification please add beautysupplysystem@gmail.com email
address to your address book. If you still do not receive
notification, please check your spam box. If you still need
assistance send us an email to info@takingitbackblack.com.
Will my lessons be available after the course
has ended?
No. We encourage you to take all necessary notes during the course.
Lessons (and the instructor) become unavailable the Sunday after
each course. Please reference the policies and procedures section in
your Validation Email.
How will my questions be answered?
Questions are handled online.
How long will it take questions to be
answered?
Questions are answered on a daily basis when a Lesson is given. All
questions must be given to the instructor no later than 9pm EST on
the Sunday following the course begin date.
What time are the courses?
Courses are designed for the convenience of the student. Lessons are
sent by 9pm EST each day, though they are often sent by 12pm. Lessons
typically last 1-2 hours.
What if I am unable to participate in a class
I paid for?
Notify your instructor immediately. Special accommodations will have
to be made with proper notice as directed in the Policy and
Procedure.
What if I am unable to complete all of the
Lessons will I be able to finish it later?
Yes, with proper notice during your course per the Policy and
Procedure. Or re-enroll when your schedule permits in a subsequent
course, however a retake fee will be required.
Are your
course timelines strict?
Yes. As with any school we must adhere to the time frame given for
each course to ensure all students are given the attention they
deserve when taking a course. This also allows us to retain highly
trained instructors in Retailing while keeping our cost affordable
to students.
When does
enrollment end for courses?
We accept students up to Wednesday 5pm EST for each week we have a
course. If you miss this cut-off time you can enroll early for the
next course.
Can I start a my course at any time?
No. All of our courses are offered once a month. The Beginner Course
is given on the First Monday of month, Advanced Course is on the
Second Monday and the Third Monday is the Salon Retailing Course.
How long are the Courses?
Beginner and Advanced Course are 5 Days each. Salon Retailing in 2
days.
